Gary Danielson shoots straight and rarely sugarcoats a team's deficiencies.

That's what makes the SEC football on CBS analyst one of the best in the business.

On a teleconference with reporters Tuesday, Danielson didn't hold back when he was asked about Arkansas' chances in Saturday's game against Alabama.

"I think it's a tough matchup for Arkansas even if Tyler Wilson was healthy for this game, even if Bob Petrino was calling the plays," Danielson said. "It's a tough matchup because Arkansas has not proven that they can block Alabama's front seven and protect the quarterback." ...

Two of the biggest idgets in all of college football. Gary Danielson is only slightly less ignorant than Verne, and listening to these 2 call a game is painful. I pray daily that they will retire soon and CBS can bring in someone who knows more about football than these 2 morons. I hate when Alabama games are on CBS.

Hey, even the WKU game sounded good when Eli called it.

At least the radio is good these days.  Back when Alabama won the NC and went undefeated during 1979, the radio broadcast connections were terrible.  There were 3 different instances of the radio broadcast coming back from commercials LATE; so late that Alabama had scored a touchdown during the interim.  I bought a cassette tape of that year's highlights, and even those included the errors.

That would happen with cable HD too.  Best bet to be insync is broadcast.

It varies with each game.  During the Michigan game I had a 5-sec delay on TV, but during WKU they were almost exactly in sync.  It likely depends on the network.

Still better than listening to G & V.

If it's a bother, turn down Eli until something you REALLY want to hear about occurs, then turn him up (such as each of those 5 TD passes against Arky).  It's like Instant-Eli Replay.
