I id see Saban's PC, and he addressed this. He basically said we have great depth at every position except OL and the secondary. I have a feeling every one will get to play against WKU, but I hope we have some depth when we go to Fayettville, because Tyler Wilson is far better than Denard Robinson, and he will test our secondary early and often.

He is a better passer, but doesn't have the mobility.  I expect there to be a better pass rush with more blitzes.  Also, didn't he get put out of last years game?

He took a beating last year, but he kept getting right back up.  I was impressed with him.  He is one tough kid.  If I remember correctly, they did take him out toward the end of the game but that was because they were conceding the loss and trying to keep him from getting hurt.  I don't think he left because of injury.

Also they have Knile Davis back this year, so they may be hard to handle on that side of the ball.  Fortunately they probably still are allergic to playing defense so we should be able to score at will.

They gave up 24 to Jacksonville St..  All scoring by JSU was against the 1s except maybe the 3rd qtr. FG.

Yep, and I figure our O might be just a tad better than JSU.

All of this.  It seems that for the past several years their pattern has been to play a couple of cream puffs to start the year while everybody goes on and on about how good their offense is.  Their first true test is us, and we all know how that's been working for them.

Thinking about depth I went quickly thru the game agian to see what players were on the field.  I could not get them all, but here is what I came up with.  I know there is a list of who played, but I wanted to see who was working in with the first group.

Offense:
RB:  42-EL; 4-TJY; 45-JF; 1-DH
TE/HB:  89-MW; 31-KJ; 84-BV; 45-JF
REC: 2-DW; 7-KB; 9-AC; 22-CJ; 83-KN
QB:  10-AJM
OL:  61-AS; 65-CW; 71-CK; 75-BJ; 76-DJF; 78-CL

O that closed out the game:
QB:  12-PE
RB-HB:  21BC
OL: 63-KW; 78-CL; 77-AK; 70-RK; 79 AS
Rec: 81-DW
TE:    82-HJ

Defense:
OB/DL:  54-JW; 49-ES; 90-QD; 92-DS; 42-AH; 57-DJP; 62-BI; 47-XD; 8-JP; 30-DD late, but with some of first group
LB: 32-CJM; 35 NJ; 33-TD
SEC: 3-VS; 6-HHD; 13-DB; 27-NP; 28-DM; 37-RL

D that closed out the game:
11-TP; 24-GS; 26-LC; 16-BS; 30-DD; 44-LF; 57-DJP; Huh??5-CB; 10-JF

Special teams:Not going to put all initials includes punts, punt return, kick off/return, FG/Xtra point; a lot of starters on here:

5; 22; 43; 51; 6; 28; 27; 92; 29;32; 10; 4; 45; 33; 2; 11; 18; 7; 31; 90; 76; 24; 35; 71; 25; 83; 49; 89; 19

How soon some of us forget. One of Bama's toughest games last year was to Georgia Southern with Bama winning 45-21. No one expected a game near that tough from them but it did happen. This is why coaches play one game at a time and Western kentucky is next and you never know what might happen until the game starts. Hopefully you are right though and everyone that dresses out gets some time on the field. Wink

Please don't tell Coach Saban I took WKU lightly. He might make me run puke sprints.
