Nick Saban and his staff have made defensive back a major position of priority on the recruiting trail every year at Alabama and the Class of 2013 figures to be no different, according to BamaOnline recruiting analyst Tim Watts.
The Tide staff has cast a wide net when it comes to defensive backs, targeting prospects like cornerbacks Maurice Smith from Sugar Land, Texas and Kendall Fuller from Olney, Maryland, both of whom list Alabama among their favorites, and while recruiting outside the state holds a greater risk of failure, Saban and his staff appear to have plenty of confidence in their ability to recruit any defensive back prospect in the nation.
