Auburn coach Gene Chizik suffers the most personal insult of the week

Seems as though some of the national media sees Chizik as we do in the Bama nation. If Scam Newton hadn't come along, I think he would be unemployed right now.

No. 36 on the list looks too high to me. In 2010 he bought the best player in the nation and the SEC and NCAA let the barn get away with it. Tuberville left overs gave Scam a good OL which helped more that anyone gives them credit for. Malzahn make most of the critical in game decisions and there were many because every game they played went down to the last minute. Chizik had that deer in the headlights look all year. Sometimes I wondered if he even knew what was going on. The most telling sign to me Chizik can't coach is he is a defensive coach and the barn has had the worst defensives in the barn's history with him in control.

I hope Cheezit stays at the Barn for 20 years.

He is a great coach.  They should double his salary and give him a contract extension.

What's most telling to me is that this will be the 4th year for Chiznik at AU and already he is making excuses and saying the team is young. Usually, the 4th year is when most coaches (who are good) shine since by then they have all of their own players.

Chizik is considered a one-hit wonder. The only way for him to change that perception is to win big again, to win without Newton, to win in the face of the best coach, the best division and the best conference in the country.

In other words, beat Alabama.  That isn't happening, not for Chizik.  He'll be gone before too long.

I don't understand what the insult is for Chiznik. His record without Cam & $200,000 is 21-29, so ranking him at #36 is a huge compliment.

Nope, he used that excuse just the sother day when talking about the low number of scholarship players and why the team was so young.
