Michigan coach Brady Hoke would like to have a word with Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany.

The word is, "Shaddup!"

Delany can take veiled shots at the Alabama football team and not have to suffer the consequences. It's Hoke who has to walk his football team into the teeth of the Crimson Tide come Sept. 1 in the Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas.

That's a difficult assignment on its face.

Ask Tommy Bowden about the 2008 Chick-fil-A Kickoff. Ask Frank Beamer about that same event in 2009.

Give Nick Saban and his staff an entire off-season to prepare for a major non-conference opener, and you take your chances....
