I sure am impressed with the Big Ten and Big East in the Tourney this year. Dick Vitale really nailed it this year, didn't he?

 Houston, we have a problem

This morning Vitale was still discussing how great the Ohio State players are.  Time to move on, Dick.

There's no doubt he thinks the only real baskeball players and teams are in the Big Ten or on the East coast.

Vitale and Muss Brentburger are all things Big Ten and have always been that way.

The SEC took a lot of crap this year about the strength of the league. We are not doing too bad now. This shows you why the RPI should not be the only factor in who gets invited to the NCAA Tournament. Good records (like ours) in power conferences should not go unrewarded. Angry

True.  But considering how much this team has gained by winning in the NIT this year, I think we benefited about as much as if we'd gotten into the NCAA (and lost early).

I agree with you. This NIT run has been good for the team and fun for the fans. But two weeks ago I did not feel that way and a little bit of that feeling is still in me.

In the Big Ten's defense, every time Ohio State sees an SEC jersey they fold. We shouldn't hold the entire conference responsible for that.

All the NCAA did was to allow us to get tourney experience and now next year hammer down. RTR!

Musberger is a Chicago guy who graduated from Northwestern. So it's understandable he has a love affair for the Big Ten.  Plus, his son played football for Northwestern when they went to the Rose Bowl. Good player, too.

These love affairs is so bad though when Alabama beats the teams the others love. There has been very few announcers that was ever really pulling for Alabama. Greatest of them all was Keith Jackson. RTR!
