Alabama coach Nick Saban and Crimson Tide players didn't fire off any words of panic about the running game after a statistically uneventful performance in the first scrimmage.

... Eddie Lacy (turf toe) and Blake Sims (hip), were ruled out for the spring.

There's also the predicament every team faces during the spring: the difficulty of defining success when every "good" can also be spun into a "bad."

The reasons are real, but that won't be good enough for offensive guard Chance Warmack at today's scrimmage, the second of the spring.

"We know we're a lot better than what we are, and we can do a lot better than what we have been doing," Warmack said. "I think this next scrimmage coming up that we'll be a lot better because we know the standard, the level of play that we need to be."

I for one never worry about our running game with Coach Saban and Burton Burns running the show. It's true that we don't have any one on the roster as special as Trent, but EL, BS, and JF will be ready to go when the season starts and I exoect Dee and TJ to really contribute. And with a QB like AJ they will  not be as likely to stack the box, which will open up holes for the RBs.

Yes, this can be spun as a good or a bad.  I think the DLine is very stout.  If they can stuff the run against this OLine, they can stuff the run against anyone.

When the best offense meets the best defense somebody might win but not by very much. Two bulls going through the same holes is like an Alabama offense against an Alabama defense. Trust! RTR!
