Love to see all of them get in, but I really hope that this is the year DT gets the call.

Quote
Mobile's Paul Crane, a center and linebacker at Alabama from 1963-65, is among 76 players listed on the 2012 College Football Hall of Fame ballot that was released Tuesday afternoon. Crane, who also had a stellar NFL career with the New York Jets, is one of three Alabama players to make the ballot, joining running back Bobby Humphrey and linebacker Derrick Thomas, both of whom played from 1985-88.

Crane was a two-way starter at center and linebacker, earning consensus first-team All-America honors. He was a member of back-to-back national championship teams and was the 1965 SEC Lineman of the Year, helping Alabama to consecutive SEC championships.

Paul Crane was one of Coach Bryant's overachievers during the early 1960s, and any kid who followed Alabama (as I did) knew his name.  Those were the days of little Alabama players out-quickin' the big 'uns of the frozen north.  Cool

Billy Neighbors, Pat Trammel, and the Coach.

Paul Crane and Coach Bryant.  Paul Crane was listed in the 1964 roster as 6'2" and 189 lbs.  Shocked
