The University of Alabama men's basketball team plays its next-to-last home game of the season on Saturday evening when its hosts Mississippi State in Coleman Coliseum. Tipoff on ESPN and the radio affiliates of the Crimson Tide Sports Network is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The Crimson Tide will be playing another home game in front of an energetic crowd as all public tickets for Saturday's contest have been sold by the UA athletics ticket office. Student tickets are available with a valid Action Card on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday. That support has made Coleman Coliseum one of the toughest home courts in the nation as the Tide has won 30 of its last 33 games in the building.

The Crimson Tide comes into Saturday as winners in five of its last seven games to improve to 18-9 on the season and 7-6 in SEC action.  In its last outing, a 79-68 road win at Arkansas, the Tide shot 55.1 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from three-point range. The win was the Tide's third SEC road win, the second most in the conference and its eighth win off campus this season. UA is one of only four SEC teams with more than one SEC road win.

A big game tonight. One we should win at home, but won't be easy against MSU's big men and Dee Bost. We need our 3rd "A" game in a row.

Winning at home is the key to this, it goes a long way in the seeding for the Big Dance, Bama doesn't want to be low seed and have to play one of the top four teams in their first game. ( I seem to be assuming a lot that they make the dance, do you think)  Cheesy

I think if they win tonight, they are in. I don't see them losing at home to the barn. Even if they lose to OM, I think they are in with a win tonight. I think seeding will be dictated by how deep they go in the SEC tourny.

If we win two out of the final three we are in IMO. A win tonight will take some pressure off the road trip to Ole Miss. I am assuming we beat a bad barn team at home on Wednesday. A win or two in the SEC tourny will also help. I think we are re-focused and playing good enough we will make the NCAA Tournament. We need to win out to improve or seeding.

The top 4 teams get byes. KY, Fl and Vandy appear to have byes locked up. We are in the mix with several teams for the 4th spot.

Bama needs the #4 spot, so the next 3 games are pretty big in their tournament hopes.
