I've lived too long.  Hockey in the SEC?  Humbug!

The Alabama Frozen Tide (28-10-1), coached by Huntsville's Mike Quenneville, got goals from Mark Wysock, Matt Mayes (two), Kenny Janssen and Tanner Himmelman. Clay Link had two assists and Zach Reichl, Wysock and Zach Dailey had one apiece. Goalie John Bierchen earned the shutout.

I miss what hockey was at UAH.  Their conference split up a few years back, and they were not invited into the new conference (the other teams were far north).  So UAH went from competing for, and sometimes winning, Division II national championships, to scrambling to fill out their schedule as an independent, with diminishing support and difficulty recruiting talent.  UAH hockey was probably the biggest college sport in Huntsville in the mid-90s -- that or A&M football.  Crazy eyes
