No. 2 Bama Softball Heads to the SEC/ACC/Big XII Challenge

The girls are playing OSU this morning. The score is tied 1-1 with Bama coming to bat in the top of the 5th. we have 6 hits but only the one run. traina is pitching a good game. She has only given up 1 hit but it was a HR.

We need one of our big innings and break this game open.

Dawson just hit a solo HR. We are up 2-1 now. Still no outs in the 5th.

Ok State had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th but failed to score. Bama leads 3-1 top of the 6th.

Nice weekend for the softball team. Three quality wins. Traina pitched a great game today. Boccia is on fire at the plate.

We are off to a 7-0 start. We play UAB on Tuesday.

Looks like the ladies will be fun to watch this year. They went undefeated at a very quality tourney this weekend. Even with Traina under the weather against Georgia Tech, the bats carried them to a win in that game. They appear to be a team that performs in the clutch. This may be their year.

Their real test didn't materialize yesterday because of the weather, they were scheduled to play Oklahoma after the Va Tech game. After Traina got hit so hard Friday and was sick ,I didn't know if she would be anywhere near her best for that game, Oklahoma is a better team than Ok State.

Yeah, I wish that game had been played. It may happen down the road, though during the regionals or WS. Murphy, like Saban, does a great job of recruiting every year. The ladies are always in the mix at the end of the year.
