In Support of Coach Grant

It is amazing how so many have openly bashed CAG for his suspension of the players but the sad part about all of this is , no one actually knows what the suspension was for.   

Who is bashing him? I have not read a single article or post anywhere criticizing him.


 

MD, read the comments on the link that Jamos posted on the "Anthony Grant discusses the latest suspensions" from Al.com.

I thought he meant some legitimate articles or Tide posters. Those clowns you refer to are probably LSU or Aubie fans who are trying to create dissension in our program.

This is not a bash, but a reality coaches have to deal with.  Not only are you puishing the players, but the team is also hurt for those who have done things right.  Coaches have to deal with this all the time.  I, myself, have sat player for being late and it has hurt my team.  I have since change the policy where these players don't start, but will play later if needed.  They will also have to run as part of the punishment after the next practice.  There are some punishments I have no control over, but will follow the guidlelines established by our school.

You guys have a tough job, Coach. I've done a lot of softball coaching, on the children's level, HS kids level and adult level. Sometimes it's like trying to heard a bunch of cats.

Coach, I understand where you are coming from - I have coached on the school level in the past. However, I believe what CAG is dealing with in these two players goes way beyond tardiness. I truly feel he is making a stand for his team's future - probably not the immediate future, but beyond. I would bet this is eating him up inside, but I applaud him for the stand he is taking. I am willing to bet that most people close to the situation knows what has gone on, and they have Grant's back. Just my 2 cent's worth...
