CNS does more for his players than the Chiz could ever think to do.

Chiz took the high road to #17 ranked class yesterday only 1 year removed from winning a title. Hard to sell the barn on highly rated players unless there is money involved.

I think an early signing period like basketball has would help both the students and the coaches. With these high profile kids waiting until the last minute to make thier decision you run a huge risk if you do not have a back up plan in place.

CNS mentioned he favored an early signing period in his presser yesterday.

Chizik offered 4 year scholarships because he knew his class this year wasn't nearly as good and hoped that helped sway some to the barn.

Good point. 

Look, I support the spirit of the Aub's 4-year offer.  But the reality is that players develop best when pushed to compete.  A top-tier team these days must have commitment and dedication by players.  It's nice to think they're at the school for academics first, but the reality is few of the top players care about academics.

That said, I repeat: "This is a business, and scholarship offers are business decisions."

I say BS on the article. If you stay out of trouble and do the right things that scholly will be there all 4 years. A medical RS still allows for the kid to go to school on the university's dime. Remember education is one of the main things CNS preaches. Look how many academic all SEC we had this year.
