From RollBamaRoll.

Quote
Through a dramatic string of losses and extremely nerve-wracking voting process regarding the various polls that factor into the BCS formula, Alabama was selected as the #2 team in the country and would face LSU for the BCS national championship in New Orleans. We had to endure all sorts of garbage from the media: "Does Alabama belong since they already played LSU?" Other fans cried foul and cursed the SEC. Mike Gundy acted like a spoiled child instead of with the dignity of a millionaire leading an emerging BCS power. The backlash against Alabama saw Trent Richardson's Heisman hopes dashed. He was leading in the polls and then he was a distant third after Alabama was chosen over Oklahoma State to play LSU.

That's a fact Jack!

#14 will always be very special to Bama fans because of the process it took to win it. I also think this team is very special in the way that so many of of the players stepped up to be a leader and not just a member of the team, especially Alex Watkins. Roll Tide!!

An entire book, the volume of "War and Peace" can be written about #14 and all that happened to Tuscaloosa and the players. This one will always be special.

I picked 2011 because of the agony. We was a one loss team and we fought back to get a chance at the NCG. This team then exploded into the best team to ever play a NCG. I think this to me is the special part although winning the 09 is special because of all the laughter we went through. RTR!

Wow, that's like asking which one of your kids you like the best. 2009 was awesome b/c it was the first title in 17 years and it really announced that the Tide was back in full force. But this year is hard to beat, with the tragedy of last April, then losing a heart-breaker to the Who, only to get back in the game through a series of unbelievable circumstances, then go to NOLA and beat the crap out of the Who on the biggest stage in college football. I think I have to give the edge to 2011.

My favorite was the one where the team lifted the crystal ball afterward. Cool

^^^ This. Even though I was a wee bit too young to remember the '61' Defense, the Defense of 2011 will be remembered as THE Defense that won that 'particular' NC. As it stands right now, I see no reason why we shouldn't challenge for #15 this year...

Roll On Tide!!!

Defense...WINS NC's
