I don't get this?!  Can you play football at a college you are not a student at?  Can you be considered a student if you do not attend class?  Or is he saying he didn't get "special" treatment?  Sorry to sound so dumb but?

That site deals with the Philly sports scene (76ers, Phillies, Eagles, FLyers, etc) and sports satire. When they siad 50,000 other athletes had come forward to say the same thing about not going to classes, that gave it away.

An interesting study was done on the actual discrapancies between student athlete graduation rates, specifically the differences in black athletes and white athletes.

"Despite small gains in the graduation rates of bowl-bound college football players, a “huge gap” still exists between white and African-American players from Football Bowl Subdivision schools, according to an annual study released Monday by the University of Central Florida’s Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport."

The report led to this article comment from ESPN:

Auburn, in fact, had the biggest gap among all bowl teams, graduating all of its white players but slightly less than half its black players (49 percent), according to data released by the University of Central Florida. Tigers coach Gene Chizik, when asked about the numbers, told The New York Times the university does a "great job" educating its athletes.

Clearly not all of them, Gene.

Probably true for his final semester because he was on his way to the NFL before his grades hit the clearinghouse. Was he enrolled in the spring of 2010? But for an athlete to do this their entire career, professors would have to be complicit, and I doubt most of them would agree to that.

Hey don't blame Cam. He knows his limitations. He WAS going to take a class, but realized stealing a professor and 150 other students was a lot harder that a laptop.
