What was a Myer telling recruits the weeks leading up to the release of the NCAA REPORT?

Good article. Finebaum has always said that Meyers was a scumbag and couldn't be trusted. I just can't see Ohio State running the spread, but we will see. I wonder how long he lasts at OSU?

Stuff like this kills me. Getting 17 and 18 year olds to lie for him.

The Pouncey's originally committed to FSU and claimed to be lifelong FSU fans. Shortly thereafter they flipped their commitment. This also occurred with Percy Harvin, yet he never committed to FSU, just proclaimed to be a lifelong FSU fan. It wasn't until after college in an interview with the Pouncey's did this came out and they admitted all of the Lifelong FSU fan stuff was garbage, and they were all lifelong Florida fans, including Harvin. Meyer wanted them to say this so it would look like he was tearing down FSU, and it would appear this way to future FSU recruits.

Is this the same Urban Meyer that quit 2 years ago or the same Urban Meyer that quit last season? I am confused!

Anyway, this brings us to Urban Myer; the new over–hyped Ohio State Football Coach. What was a Myer telling recruits the weeks leading up to the release of the NCAA REPORT? Myer claims he was being truthful, but it appears Myer was stressing that the NCAA punishment would not be severe. Was Myer telling recruits that there would be no bowl ban or Big Ten Championship Game ban in 2012?

Sounds like, oh just a minute on the tip of - oh yea now I remember Jim Tressel. Yeah sounds just like Jim Tressel!

I can see OSU running a similar offense to what Meyer ran at Florida, although I suspect Meyer will try recruiting larger RBs to play in the Big10.  That young Ohio State QB is quite the athlete and fits perfectly into Meyer's scheme.

Did you say young, they are doomed if they have young players.  Ask any Barner.

The only thing that ever worked at Florida for Meyers was Tebow, same as the only thing that has ever worked for Cheezdip Auburn was Newton. Some folks say that one player doesn't make a team, but in those two cases Tebow and Newton made a huge difference for their teams.

Meyers is a good coach but not a great coach and can OSU be happy with a good coach?

... and I might add that Meyers benefited from a down FSU team/coach and a down Miami team/coaches.  Timing is everything; he's benefiting with that at OSU.
