Waiver article.  I heard it first on ESPN.

On one hand: "Looks like Ohio State is getting preferential treatment for its bowl game again this year."

On the other: "And this matters?"

Michigan AD has a problem with it as well.

Keep ranting, coach!  Nearly as good as your game notes!

I heard today that the OSU waiver "is not that unusual."  In fact, I understand that Michigan did the same thing when Lloyd Carr retired.

Having endured the constant adulation heaped on Urban Meyer by Gator fans, I chuckled to myself watching his implosion and "flop."  (ie, faking health problems to fashion an escapre from the mess he created at UF).  Any joy to be had at Gator expense when he was hired by Ohio State was small in comparison to my growing anger over the obvious:  The NCAA would let Ohio State off easy because they had "done the right thing" and hired a "class" coach to set the program right.  My suspicions were proved accurate when the NCAA allowed Meyer on staff to recruit...while other programs are having to game-plan for their bowls.  This move amply demonstrates that the NCAA is only interested in the $$$, and in their plan, a strong Ohio State free from cloud brings in too much $$$ to pass up.  Therefore, to the NCAA the solution is as simple as the stone from David's sling:  Resurrect Urban's legend and Ohio State football by giving Urban an unfair advantage recruiting.  This advantage has aalready paid off in a switch of a top lineman from Penn State to Ohio State.  Talk about killing two birds with one stone!  Until the NCAA organization is cleared of the corrupt men who run it for profit, this is what we get.

Well said, FT.  Ohio State should have been left to twist in the wind for several more years.

BTW, as our only "tarheel" rep, who should I pick in the bowl game, UNC or Missou (-4.5)?
