While we're all waiting on the BCS saga to end, I found a link with Bama's football history that some of you may care to check out.

It looks as if this is the winning Sr class in Bama history.

It looks as if this is the winning Sr class in Bama history.

This group of seniors will finish with a 48-6 record after we beat LSU. This is winning percentage of .889.

The 1980 senior class had a record of 44-4. That is a percentage of .916. They also won 2 championships.

Both of these senior classes did an outstanding job. It depends on if you look at number of wins or the highest percentage to determine the best class ever.

I just spent 2.5 hrs. playing.  If we had this back in our day Jamos, internet by mobile phone, bar fights could've been cut in half--settling this stuff!

Bwaaahahahahahaha!!! You are not just kidding, I still wonder how I got out of some of them alive.  Laughing  Applause E-Cred

Maybe I'll put a copy of it in my wallet, I've done got too old to pick on anyone and I might not have enough time to pull it up on my cellphone to save my rear end.  Wink

I also, don't think they could play as many games back then.

History was when Coach Bryant sat Joe Willie for a bowl game. lol, and Alabama still won. Help out historians it was 63, or 64 I think. RTR!

I thought that was a Georgia Tech game.  He sat Joe Willie until about 2 minutes to go in the half because he had a knee injury.  Joe went in and struggled on the first two plays then drove for a TD and then we recovered an onside kick and he threw another TD pass.  I think we scored twice in 1:54 or something like that.  1963 I believe.  Joe didn't play the 2nd half.
