The Tide appeared to reach a tumbling point 40 seconds later, after Boynton missed a 3-point shot. Tony Mitchell led a fast break for the Tide and passed to Chris Hines, who lobbed a pass toward the basket, but Green missed a slam dunk.

Same thing said in the game thread last night.  Was it you, General?

It was SUPERCOACH that made that assessment. Apparently he was not alone in that thought.

We play a great team. Just like the year we played Fla, and then Utah. We had a nice Golden ring in our grasp but missed it, so did our BB team last. Now, as we came back and got NC better I think CAG will have these guys playing better. My prediction is still: "We make the field of 64."
We take Ga. and then win out in the SEC tourney and then they can't deny us. MHO. RTR!

I like your optimism.  How's your reality?

I'll be VERY happy if we beat UGA and win the first game in the tournament.  That'll get us in, and we'll get some rest.

Tough loss.  I really thought we'd play them close on the road or not.

Bad time of the year to start slumping.  This is the 3rd "off game" in a row.

They need to find that aggressive attitude they had from late Jan to mid-Feb.

If not, the SEC co-champ will be NIT'ing it for sure.

We need to beat UGA (obviously) and have an impressive run to the finals IMO to impress the buble team voters.

Well Che my reality is that CAG has brought them a long way. I feel like if we can win or place 2nd in the SEC tourney after beating GA of course we will be in the field. I will say this, that if we loose to GA we will be in the NIT no matter what we do in the tourney. JMHO. RTR!

I agree.  Short of winning it of course, as that would give us the auto-bid.

This Alabama team is good enough to win the SEC tournament, especially given the impetus and fact that other teams already punched their tickets.

Don't get down on yourself. I've noticed your "woots" to be very well placed.

I really think they can win it too. I would love to see them match-up to Vandy and give them a whipping. It would move our seeding up I think. JMHO> RTR!
