GS is doing a great job executing.  It is hard to stop if you never see it and only have a few days to get ready.
Mal Moore joined the announcers in the booth for a while. Talking about the triple option he emphasized how this gets exponentially harder to defend against when your opponent is using 4 downs instead of 3. Multiple formations for the triple option make it hard to learn, recognize, in just a few days of practice. You can get them to recognize the angles and such in practice, but it takes games to get to where you are just reacting.

Yep.  I was just watching the half time show during the Miss State-Arkansas game.  They did not show a single highlight form the GS 21 points.  Instead they showed a whole bunch of TR touchdowns and talked about how he had a huge day for his Heisman campaign with almost 200 yards.  They also mentioned that Georgia Southern was a quality opponent.  We did what we needed to do, and we are in good shape.  Now if Oregon were to beat USC 98-0, they might squeak ahead of us.  But short of that, we are in as long as we keep winning.

At this point, all we have to do is beat Auburn.  LSU has to win 3 more games to make it to the NCG.

I've heard a couple of them saying LSU wouldn't drop if they lose the SECCG. This was assuming it was close, but the idea being not to punish conferences that have championship games. They said LSU may fall 1 place or not at all.

Sure doesn't like like Arkansas will get caught in a trap game leading up to their big one next week.  Beating the Bulldogs 31-10 now.

Arkansas just might beat LSU.  It is possible that we could play Arkansas in the BCS NCG.  It would take an Oregon loss to USC tonight, and an Oklahoma loss to Oklahoma State.  Right now Arkansas is at #5.  If those two drop down they will be up to #3.  If they beat LSU, then LSU will drop down.  The last 2 weeks will be interesting for sure.

I just got out of the GA Southern Game, the Eagles.  They played the option to perfection and had some very fast guys.  Not big, but fast.  They were able to get the corner a few times, and the QB made good reads.  Their kickoff return team had apparently scounted Bama well.  They came to play, they did not give up, you have to respect that.  They will be playing in the FCS Playoffs, I assume.  Only other loss this season is to Appalachian State.

Their mascot was a bald eagle.  The trainer carried the eagle into the stadium where we were (row between Sections FF and GG) and let fans take photos with the eagle.  He said that the Bama fans were the best he had seen, the most classy.  Bama fans waved as they drove into town on the bus, and they got a few cheers as they got off the bus.  He said Georgia fans booed them when they played there.  Ga Southern actually brought some fans of their own to the game, as well as their band.  Their Fans occuppied the entire visiting section of the lower bowl.  Their Band was up high, north end zone.

A good time was had by all.  The game was close enough to keep it interesting without stressing out about it.  The weather was perfect, except for a few clouds and the start of sprinkles at the end of the game.  ESPN highlights focus on Trent Richardson's and Brad Smelly's touchdowns with no mention of Eagles scoring.  Rammer Jammer was done after the game, altough half-heartedly, as the Eagles accounted well for themselves.  The Eagles players grouped in the north end zone with their fans after the game in celebration, of a sort, of a game well played.

Hey, CP, the 2Stater Clan just left as well - agreed on the good time! But I must admit I was pretty stressed...We were also in section FF, but in the upper deck. Great seats to catch every detail of every stressful play Tongue   ROLL TIDE!!!

For me it wasn't stress because there was never a moment that I thought we would lose. It was more of frustration, knowing that we were significantly better than them, yet listening to them move the ball fairly easily. The triple option is frustrating to watch, and I know the defense had to be infinitely more frustrated than me just trying to make a play. Bottom line, though, is the Tide got the win against a good FCS opponent, and now its time to focus on the barn.

I wonder why Bama even scheduled them, everything to lose and nothing to gain.
