Why Is Everyone Complaining?

"We have terrible kickers, McElwain stinks..." blah, blah, blah. Look - Bama is 9-1, sitting in a good position to get a rematch in the title game; Stanford and Boise St got beat; the barn and UT got the snot kicked out of them on the same day. Life is good!

No one should be surprised with what took place in Starkville last night. MSU always plays us tough over there but we always end up winning. I am very happy with the 24-7 result. Football wise, yesterday could not have gone much better.

Actually we don't ALWAYS end up winning...I was there in the student section in Bama gear a year that we didn't.  This was the Jackie Sherill era. Painful.

Mississippi State gets too much crap from people.  I think they do great given the circumstances and I really pull for them 2nd to UA.  I really liked Croom and I think Mullen could still right the ship if he can start recruiting worth a crap.  You can always count on them for playing tough and providing a spoiler here and there.

I'm proud of the team.  some of the LSU fans I know want me to bow down or something but I'm sorry...LSU didn't blow us out of the water and they couldn't even manage a TD in that game.  No shame from me.  I think it could have easily gone the other way over several things...another good kick, the interception call going the other way, even the coin toss.  If they think I've given up, they can think again.  LSU didn't convince me they are a better team...just played a better overtime.

SUPERCOACH...I think they are scared of the possibility.  That's why they are so dismissive of it.  If OSU loses, how can they justify placing a team who got stomped by texas tech (OU) over us...we are undefeated in regulation play and that was against the #1 ranked team.  How could Oregon go ahead of us?  They lost to LSU in regulation and I doubt their schedule is harder.  I thought this was a longshot, but the scenario is getting more and more likely.  I am praying Arkie beats LSU, too.  I think Petrino can manage it.  Sometimes a coach just has another team's number, ad I think he might just have theirs.  Remember Dan Mullen has done well against Florida because he knew their players from coaching there.  Also, it's a bit of a rivalry with those 2, and you know with rivalries sometimes something just comes out of nowhere for an upset (unfortunately this is why the Iron Bowl is scary any year).
