Eh...I hate to be the Debbie Downer (DD) of the crowd on this one, but this may be taking the wearing of crimson goggles a bit to the extreme.  No offense to Mr. Shelley, but I don't see him deserving of this award.

I voted for him but I feel the same way HL. If this award was for the best place kicker from 35yds and closer he would be more deserving.

I would suspect that 99% of the voters on these type of polls vote for the player from their favorite school and not for the best athlete. You also probably have some that will vote for another schools player to keep a player from their rival school from winning it. JMO
