After a very lackluster performance in the first half of the Vandy game, it will be interesting to see if the effects of the CNS halftime "discussion" with the players will have an affect on the Saturday with Ole Miss. If this team is as good as folks say they are, they game will come out Saturday afternoon with a mad on for Ole Miss and handle them with ease.

I stand by my opinion of this team as being a very good team, but if they have to be reminded by a halftime chewing out by their Coach that they could lose a game if they don't do some things better, then maybe they're not as good as I think they are right now. A true championship team shouldn't have to be reminded to play hard, all they should need is a good game plan for the next game.

And don't underestimate Ole Miss.  I think many of us will be surprised at the betting odds (which I haven't seen).  Ole Miss has had 2 weeks to heal and prepare; they have good athletes.  They lost several starters in game #1 vs BYU, and most of those will play this weekend.  Just saying.

You know Nutt will have a bunch of trick plays in store for Bama, so they need to be ready. I really don't think, though, that there will be a letdown this week. Bama loves to kick butt on the road. I'm thinking around 41-13.

I agree and they always play Bama tough over there.

Ole Miss has more quick strike potential on offense than Vandy, so if we come out with our hands in our pockets on D, they will make us pay more than two FG attempts for our lackadaisical effort.

With that said, if the first half against Vandy is as flat as we get all year, we should still be ok against everyone except LSU (Assuming we play the 2nd half as strong).  Coming out flat against LSU is not a possibility.

You're right. If we come out flat against LSU, we deserve to get beat, however, I don't see that happening.

Ole Miss has had a few(very) times when we beat them by a lot of points. I think Coach Nutt has the seat so Hot he knows with a win in this game he could save his job. We need to play all out and keep a big score on them. RTR!

Okay, I checked the odds.  Bama is favored by 23.5 (opened).  UF-Boogs is pick 'em.

I was wrong; Bama should be favored by 14 in this game; 23.5 is a whole lot (i.e., too much).

I see a sloppy game coming between AU/UF. It will prolly resemble the AU/SC game.
