I really thought Simpson would have won the spot outright in the spring.  I have a feeling he will be headed to the portal if he doesn't play this year.

I'm glad CNS saw what we did in the TX game, and acted. Don't know what this means for Simpson.  The QB competition  isn't over so he needs to hang in there. But I agree, if Buchner holds on to the job, Simpson is probably gone to the portal -- maybe before the season is over.

Yep, and if Milroe isn't used in some capacity, he may be gone too. He is such a good athlete, I hope they can make use of that. But we all saw it, he is not our best option at QB.

I am glad to see the change. Milroe is not a sit in the pocket and find the open receiver player. If Buchner does not pan out (and I hope it does) we will need to change the offense to suit Milroe's skills. He may be a decent read option guy who runs (designed runs and not scrabbles) the ball 15 times a game.

I think we are all disappointed Simpson is not working out. Our qb room will look much different next year any way this turns out.

Unfortunately, it does. I know USF is a sub-par team this year, but I would really like to see improvement, not just with the O line, but also the D line and secondary. All were exposed by Texas last week.

If Buchner can show some poise and accuracy, maybe he will be our guy. Anyway...............

From what I've seen in our first three games, I'd have to say that Milroe IS our best option at QB.
