$$$ indeed.  Second place $$$ in the LIV Tourney is more than all (I think) non-majors on the PGA tour.  $$$ talks.  Guys listen.

Good article re: the two golf tours.  LIV Golf is not going away.  PGA Tour will adjust somehow.  Money is the main issue, but there are others.

Great article, McB. I think most people thought at first that LIV golf would be something the PGA would laugh at. I don't think anybody is laughing anymore. It will be interesting to see how the antitrust lawsuits pan out, even though like he said in the article, the PGA could drag that out for years.

One thing is for sure, like them or not, the Saudis have the money to fund LIV golf for a long time. I think they've forced the PGA's hand, especially if more golfers bail. Gonna be interesting to see how all this pans out.

Greg Norman said Tiger turned down HIGH NINE FIGURES.  That's approaching a billion so you don't have to write it down or try to flabbergasteredly attempt to visualize it in the old noggin like I did.

Yes, Tiger has a lot of money, but it would have essentially doubled his net worth.  That'll make anyone scratch and itch turning down that much money.

Given his health, if LIV allowed Tiger to use a cart on the course, maybe he'd reconsider.  Just sayin'.  Really though, Tiger seems loyal to PGA Tour and at this time in his career, probably does not want to 'tarnish' his place in golf history.

It is the Greg Norman led, Saudi backed golf league. The Saudis have thrown huge amounts of money at the players to come join. The PGA, however, says if you leave us to go to LIV, you cannot play in any PGA Tour events.

So far, it's mostly players that are past their prime and a few that are no longer competitive on the PGA Tour. Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and Koepka being the exceptions, although none of the three have been very competitive lately.
