BLOOM!!!

It may still turn out to be true, but it would not surprise me at all if he was not interested.  It really would be a bad situation for him, or any coach for that matter.  They expect you to win a national championship within 3 years or you will be on the hot seat.

True. Texas has the most meddlesome boosters and trustees of any college out there. Sark would be miserable.

If true, I'm glad for Sark.  Wish this hadn't broken until after the Natty though.

Not me.  Texas is not a good situation for any coach.  I hope he gets an opportunity to be a head coach again if that is what he wants to do, but I hope he has a chance to go to a school were he at least has a decent chance to be successful.  Texas will chew him up and spit him out in a couple of years.

That's exactly what the atmosphere at Alabama was in the 80s and until Saban arrived.  Hopefully it will never become that way again
It's why we made some bad hires and why some coaches left.  Also the root of NCAA troubles.

There's absolutely no reason why TX shouldn't be a top 5 job if the president and AD can grow a sack and stand down the boosters who feel like their donations deserve a stake in decision making.  I believe that may have just happened at Auburn.

They have more money than Alabama, and their high school football has more top recruits.  But the administration has to enable the coach.

Per Rick Karle, it's official. Sark is the new head coach at Texas.  Sad

Quote
It’s now official via the University Of Texas:
Steve Sarkisian has been named the head football coach at Texas replacing Tom Herman, who was fired.
Coach Sark is expected to be with the Crimson Tide for the national championship game, and he will then head to Austin.
I do expect a statement to be released by Coach Saban over the next few hours- I will pass that along to you when I receive it.
As much as you may miss Coach Sark, this is a tremendous opportunity for him.
Let’s offer him our classy congratulations.

Hopefully it isn't a huge distraction for our team, but I hope he has success.  He's come back from a dark time in his life and has done a helluva job for us.

If our guys need any motivation, then this could be one.  I hope Sark remembers how Kiffin behaved like an a$$ and how it hurt us in the NC game, which he coached; so that Sark stays focused.

But there is no sugar coating: This is bad news.

In CNS we trust.  (Like we have any other choice!!)

Now it seems legit.  I hope he is getting a truck load of money, and I hope he is successful there.

I wonder who will be the offensive mind for OC now? There was only 2 out there that I knew of and both are HC's now Sark and Kiffin. RTR!

If Butch Jones hadn't just left for Arky St, he'd probably get the job.  I know some of you will groan, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Chad Morris get an interview.

Well everytime we have a NC run we get this kind of confusion. No way sark can coach us in a NCG and run Texas and hope he don't take some of our coaches with him. RTR!

I do not know his name but I heard Kiffin's OC at Ole Miss mentioned yesterday.
