Does this mean you are available to be Free Shoes University's head coach?

I never understood why FSU shelled out all that money to get Taggart from Oregon.  Oregon was happy to see him go -- they went 7-5 overall and 4-5 in the Pac-12 in 2017 with Taggart at the helm. Sure, FSU might have been desperate with Jimbo leaving, but still....

FSU has more potential than any other ACC team.
I repeat, "BYE BYE".

Serious question; does FSU go after Urban or somebody else? I personally think Urban has no interest to go there, but they must have somebody in mind to fire Taggart in the middle of the season.

FSU must have wanted an early start this time on the coaching carousel.  And had seen enough of Taggart after losing at home 27-10 to Miami yesterday.

FSU is heading towards its second season in a row of not being bowl eligible -- prior to Taggart FSU had the longest active bowl participation streak.

So who do they hire?  Lane Kiffin?  Steve Sarkisian?

After the loss to Oregon, USC is prolly moving toward offering Urban their coaching position.  That was the talk all summer.  No idea if he'd go there, but he'd MUCH sooner go to USC than FSU.

The Urban Meyer to USC talk is interesting. I don’t think he is a good fit at USC, plus with his off field problems at Florida & Ohio State might be problematic. USC has been in turmoil since Carroll left in 2010. It’s been a nonstop soap opera. Does USC want to risk more off field problems with Meyer as coach?

I think Meyer is a better fit at FSU but FSU facilities and fan base are not so great. Of course, Florida has no state income tax while California has the highest state income tax at 13%. Real estate is crazy priced in the LA area, cost-of-living ridiculous, not to mention the homeless problem, crime, mudslides, wildfires, earthquakes, etc. Other than that, it’s a great place to live. I have lived in Tallahassee and it was a nice family-oriented town.

 Huh?

Just because you would rather live in Florida than California doesn't mean Urban would choose to play Florida and Clemson every year.   Laughing

Does this energize the Auburn faithful?

"By golly, if FSU can raise $20M in buy-out money, so can we!"
