I didn't see or hear much of the game while finishing a 100.8 mile bike ride in Montgomery. What a weird time we're in to see Bama win by 19 on the road against a ranked SEC opponent, and yet be frustrated because Bama didn't play well.

After LSU's win last night it looks like we're headed for Game of the Century, Part Two on November 9. I don't think the score will be 9-6 this time.
Laughing

I expect the over/under may be more like 96 than a 9-6 score.
Nice to hear you did the bike ride on such a beautiful day (assuming the rain cleared out by then).  Hope you had fun.

Congrats on completing the Century.  Did you have much wind (we did here), or were you able to pace line?

Funny how you added the 0.8 miles.  But I understand, those are the hardest miles.

I once rode 700 miles over 7 days in the Colorado Rockies, and did another 650 with friends the following year.  I'd recommend Colorado riding to anyone.

I, for one, am not frustrated at Bama's performance.  A win is a win.  A 19 point win is domination, and the game really wasn't as close as that.

LSU does look as good as I said at the start of the season -- good enough to give Bama a run for the money.  Probably others are starting to see that now(?)  That game will be a huge challenge.

The weather was nice. There were some strong headwinds from miles 70-84; that stretch was pretty miserable. I rode with another guy from Tuscaloosa, but we never connected with a group in a pace line. I'd love to travel around and bike some different parts of the country, but with work right now I do well to get 20-30 miles done from the house once a week. I logged 454 miles in July, and then had about 175 between the beginning of August until yesterday.

Then you're hurting today.   Laughing

That's not much of a base for a century.

Wills gets 15 for "jumping on the pile".

Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?

Seems like it was about this same time last year that the team started the "retaliation" part of their game and we got all those penalties as well as suspensions. Cecil Hurt had a good article in the Tuscaloosa News today in reference to Nick Saban's "Rat Poison" theory of last years downfall of the team toward the 2nd half of the season.

You are correct, sir.

Also, I forgot sunscreen and the forecast for cloudy skies proved untrue. My arms are dark red, and I have a helmet strap streak of white on my red face.
