I bet if we had 100 members on here involved in picking the US Open winner, no one would have picked Gary Woodland. Koepka gave it a go, but Woodland was just too strong down the stretch.

Kudos to pmull for picking Koepka. He was the closest to Woodland.

Michigan, Vandy, Fla St and Miss St are the first round winners in the CWS. Miss St stomped on Auburn's soul last night by scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 5-4.  Cool

Where did I come in at 2? RTR!

Arky was eliminated yesterday by Texas Tech, 5-4 and Michigan beat FSU 2-0. Tonight, Vandy and Miss St square off at 6:00 CDT. Auburn and Louisville will play an elimination game this afternoon at 1:00.

Game 7: Louisville 5, Auburn 3...  Auburn eliminated

Game 8: Vanderbilt 6, Mississippi State 3

Vandy might be the team to beat, sending Louisville and Miss. State to the losers bracket.

Michigan is leading in the other bracket.

Based on what I've seen so far, Looks like Vandy and Michigan are gona end up in the final series.

Vandy's hitting looks stronger but Michigan's pitching looks best.

Hope the Dores can pull it off.

The Vandy vs Louisville Bracket final last night was very interesting. A well played game that took a weird turn in the 8th inning. Vandy held a slim 1-0 lead most of the game. UL got 2 runs to take the lead. Luke Smith, UL pitcher, was pitching a great game holding a powerful Vandy team in check. He struck a batter out to end the 8th inning and walked off the field yelling at him. TV slow motion clearly showed he was yelling f*** you. He had not given up a hit since the 3rd inning. The fired up Dores came to bat in the 9th and jumped on him scoring two runs to win the game. The moral of the story is "don't piss off the Dores".
