I have yet to see a pitchers umpire in any of these game.
Can't that be a good thing though?  I mean, if the umpires are showing tendencies to call against the pitchers it should force the pitchers to throw better pitches.  Of course, the other side of that blade is that the hitters get more target practice too...

It's a good thing for a hitter, but for pitchers who like to work the corner, it is tough.  That is why these umpires are called hitter's umps.

I watched a lot of softball over the weekend and I thought the same thing. In all games I saw the strike zones were very tight.

After watching several games over the weekend l believe the umps selectively enforced the batters box rule against Elissa Brown. I saw slappers on several teams step out of the box and not be called. I especially paid attention to the Tennessee/Florida game and saw slappers on both teams stepping out but not called. Kind of looks like Brown was singled out.

I would not be surprised if the coach from Texas had seen this and ask the umpires to pay close attention when she came to bat.

That certainly happened.  Murphy was trying to get the same call on one of TX's batters that bats at the bottom of the order.

Bama doesn't score.

OK scores a run in the bottom of the 6th to go up 3-2.   Angry
