Nope, not working this weekend but I do go in tomorrow.  I also didn't venture out except for walking 2 miles up the road for breakfast yesterday.  Pretty much stuck around the hotel watching football yesterday. I may try to get up to the Spouting Horn later today though.  Yes, it really is a place and it is also amazing to see...

You have to walk 2 miles for breakfast?  You're not in Mexico Beach are you?

Spouting Horn sounds interesting.  Gotta see pics of that, and any whales seen nearby.

No, I passed up a few other pacles that just didn't see to offer what I was looking for. I also wanted to get some walking in too...  I don't think the whales are here yet.  More likely to see them in January I believe.  If I do see some I'll try and get a pic or two though... It is my understanding that one of the best places to see whales is on a hill near Glass beach.  That was the island dumping pacle years ago. Consequently, there is lots of glass that washes up on the beach that has broken and worn smooth along with a nice sand etching from the wave action.  Last time I was here I was able to get quite a bit.  I have some from this trip too but just a small amount. Might go back there today too...

Those are beautiful pacles.
There's a glass beach in Fort Bragg, Calif.  LF and I visited there when on vacation.  Also had been a dump.  But it became so popular that they banned glass collection from it.  Seems stupid to disallow picking up shards of glass, but they did!
