I did.  I read just enough to see that he was tied to the agent and has nothing to do with Alabama.  I think we are in the clear.  It seems like the NCAA investigated this stuff regarding Sexton last year and he was cleared to play.  I don't see how they can turn it around on us at this point, unless we were directly involved.  And it appears that we were not directly involved.

Has the NCAA, FBI or any other agency done anything about the ones they have proven to take money? I thought Arizona was caught dead to right, yet I'm seeing they just got another 5 star to commit.

Frankly, few institutions are commenting because no one knows what is true or false in a criminal trial, no one knows what action, if any, the NCAA is going to take if 40 or 50 schools are implicated and, ultimately, no one seems sure whether the actions are in fact criminal.

Could there be NCAA ramifications for Alabama? It’s possible. It’s also possible that there is no connection between Alabama and Dawkins at all. Guessing what the NCAA will do is difficult in routine cases and these trials are of a huge and unprecedented nature. One has to assume that Alabama knew of Sexton’s high profile and was diligent in its compliance efforts during and after his recruitment. If the institution was neglectful, then perhaps there is an issue but there’s no way to know yet.

I thought we had this conversation last year. Wasn't Sexton investigated for recruiting violations (not Bama-related), required to sit out a few games by the NCAA, then ultimately cleared to play?   Huh?

The confusion comes from the FBI investigations.  The NCAA doesn't have the FBI information yet, and won't until court cases.  At least, that's my recollection of it.
