Top LB recruit Ale Kaho leaving Washington, reportedly headed to Alabama

He never enrolled at Washington.

It is odd, though.  He had some personal/family matters that had him going home (to Reno, Nevada) from Washington, and his family supposedly wanted him close to home, which is why Washington granted the release.  But then he signs with Bama.  Maybe he had a change of heart? 

Kaho requested a release from Washington last week, citing a need to be closer to his family after the death of his uncle and aunt and his parents' ensuing divorce. The Huskies granted the release with no conditions, and Alabama, a runner-up during Kaho's first recruitment, quickly scooped up the top prep football prospect in Northern Nevada history.

As 247Sports.com's No. 21 prospect in the 2018 class, Kaho was the highest-rated prospect to sign under Washington coach Chris Petersen, formerly of Boise State. He is the only five-star football recruit in Northern Nevada history.

The Seattle Times reported last week Kaho's family was concerned about Ale's health. One unnamed relative told the Times that Kaho lost 20 pounds this summer in Seattle and football was not atop their list of priorities when the release was requested.

“He (has) so much stuff going on right now,” the Times quoted an unnamed family member saying. “Football is not even our concern right now. He does not look right. He does not act right. He’s not the same bubbly kid we know.”

Watched a video of him working on his skillsets and he has very very quick feet, now we need to see what he has between his ears.
