They are taught to stay with a play like that in the event of an overturn.  But a side judge blew a whistle.

But shouldn't they have reviewed the play.

Brantley didn't even know where the football was!!!!!

And like I said, according to Eli Gold, this is the officiating crew that was banned for 2 games after blowing calls.

David Bailey passed away.  He was a great Alabama receiver back about 1971.   

Prayers to his family.

I remember watching him as a teenager. He played in 1969, 1970, & 1971. He owned the sophmore reception record at 56 until someone named Julio came along. He had great hands, if i was near him, he caught it. When we went to the wishbone in 1971, he became mainly a blocker. He migh have caught 15 passes that year. I can't remember.

You're right.  Once we went to the wishbone, he was either wide open or blocking.  I think he was the receiver in B'ham against Tennessee.  First down we had a "fake 31, splitman runs post", and on the first play of the game he caught an 80-yard pass.

In 1971 the game started with UT having it, then backed up on the S end after a penalty.  They punted and we took it in and won by a bunch.
