These pics are from Yellowstone NP, so they're more protected than your neighbor's dog.  But generally people of Montana protect their hunting rights, and eagles outside the park are prolly more threatened by hunters than elsewhere in the US.

Thursday June 14th:

Good day today in the park.  We were supposed to leave the motel at 5am, but certain members of our group overslept.  They won't be going again.  We left by 5:30.

We saw 2 grizzlies, 3 black bears, golden eagles, ospreys, and much more.  No wolves, but we got to our favorite viewing spot to be told we were "half an hour late to see them".
 

First thing we saw was a Black Bear and her Cub.  Baby nursing in 3rd pic::

Holy smokes at the size of those elk antlers!  Nice job putting in an inanimate object for scale.

I agree with HL those antlers were big! The pics are so fantastic it is like being right there with you all. Anybody who overslept and missed these views I pity them. Chechem you just bring the great America to us through those pics. RTR!

Friday June 15th:

We went fishing early despite the forecast of "light rain".  By 9am it was pouring down.  We were out in our little boats catching fish, but it was damp and cold (32 when we arrived at 6am; high of 46).  I caught 9 trout and 2 whitefish.  Didn't take pics, because everything was tough in the rain.  I did snap one photo of my buddy in his boat:

Long day critter watching.  But we saw 9 bears and plenty more:

Bear crossed the road and a truck wrecked watching it.  We decided to U-turn and head elsewhere.
