Looks like it has to do with meals other than the one he was suspended for. Why didn't they have this info when he was suspended?

Quote
Sexton's name doesn't appear on the "Loan to Players" documentation of the report. However, it does appear on a list of players and/or families who are listed as meeting with or having meals with Dawkins.

The school invested the allegation that Sexton's Father had lunch paid for him by an agent prior to the season. The compliance department found this to be true. Sexton was ruled ineligible by the school and submitted to the NCAA for him to be reinstated. Sexton received a one game suspension in the first game of the season and was reinstated by the NCAA for game 2. Unless they find more on him Sexton and Bama should be in good standing.

That's what I'm hoping for, but the article makes it sound like their were more meals involved.

Preacher, the Aubs are up to their necks in the entire FBI mess.  Chuck Person is the poster boy of the entire investigation.  They're screwed.

It'd be nice to think Sexton had a pleasant lunch with someone he didn't realize was an agent.  You can choose to believe they simply had lunch.  But most people looking at this investigation see Sexton as another guilty pawn in this crap.  Everyone is just waiting for the shoe to drop.

The only thing known so far is that Sexton's Father had lunch with an agent and the agent bought the lunch. Unless something else is found Sexton served a one game suspension for that. Nothing new has been reported yet. That does not mean that something will not be found but the school and the NCAA acted quickly reinstating Sexton.

Finebaum pretty much indicated that there was much ado about nothing, concerning most implicated players, including Sexton.

I am more concerned about what the Staffer who got fired did than Sexton.

Sexton will prolly be gone before the NCAA drops the hammer.  So, you're right.
But it all stinks.  And despite what the TV folks keep saying, a fish rots from the asss up!
