Mac Jones arrested for DUI

Backup freshman QB Mac Jones was arrested in Tuscaloosa after a minor traffic accident at 2:14 a.m.  Police arrived on the scene, conducted a field sobriety test and charged him with DUI.  He also had a fake ID.

About the only thing positive in his behavior is that he didn't flee the scene, like many drunks tend to do.  Perhaps he's just not an experienced drunk.

He is suspended for the LSU game (probably wouldn't see the field anyway).

Will he last 4 years at Bama?  I doubt it.

Saban's statement:

“We are disappointed in Mac’s actions and this is obviously not the kind of behavior we expect from our players,” Nick Saban said in a statement. “Mac has been suspended from Saturday’s game against LSU. We will further evaluate what actions we need to take moving forward so we can correct the behavior. It is a privilege to represent The University of Alabama and there are certain responsibilities that go along with that privilege.”
