Bjork told Yahoo on Friday that after receiving the information from Mars, the school had pulled records of Freeze’s cell calls and plowed through 39,000 calls without finding another instance of a call to the 313 number. However, the school kept digging through the records and must have found additional troubling information.

With major sanctions coming, does Les Miles, at the age of 64, really want this headache? Plus, recruiting will be total crap the next 3 years and Ole Miss is not built for running up the middle.

Essentially, Nutt and his camp got his successor at Ole Miss ousted in a fashion similar to what Nutt himself faced 10 years ago at Arkansas.

A series of records requests preceded Nutt’s departure from Arkansas in 2007. One request, for Nutt’s cell phone records, revealed more than 2,000 texts between the coach and a local news anchor. Rumors circulated that Nutt was having an affair, which he denied. His wife wrote a blog post in his defense. A lawsuit was threatened, but ultimately not filed.

I was wondering the same thing.  The latter would be worse (for Ole Miss football).  Ole Miss would prefer the moral turpitude angle.

I do see Lester as potentially interested in a hire (he wants to coach again), though it is in the wrong division of the wrong conference with the odds heavily stacked against the team for the foreseeable future.
