Women's NCAA Tournament Final is all SEC, South Carolina v Miss State.

SC took out Stanford last night.

And Miss State beat favorite U Conn in OT.  U Conn was riding a 111 game winning streak, including an undefeated season and national championship last year, as well as an undefeated season this year with all wins in double digits.  Last year, Miss State lost to U Conn in the Sweet 16 by 60 points, but last night the lady bulldogs out hustled U Conn, lead most of the game, and came away with a win in the final second.

Amazing!  There are a lot of men's teams that would have lost to the lady U. Conn team.  I have been extremely impressed with how they just kept on and on winning.  To have an SEC team beat them in the Final 4 is outstanding.  Having an all-SEC final in the NCAA Women's tourney is outstanding as well...

Congrats to both of the SEC teams.  Now hopefully USCe men can go and win the men's side...  Applause E-Cred Applause E-Cred Applause E-Cred

Lol, if you do, make sure it is AFTER the A-Day game.  Like maybe 20 years after...

Good article about Mississippi State Womens basketball team, before they beat UCONN. Read link.

Quote
Mississippi State arguably had the toughest road to the Final Four this season. The Bulldogs beat a 27 win DePaul team in the Second Round, followed by Kelsey Plum, the all-time scorer in the sport’s history, and the Washington Huskies in the Sweet Sixteen - a match-up that every ESPN expert picked Plum and Washington to win. State used a big fourth quarter from Teaira McCown to beat the 3rd-seeded team by double digits.

UCONN Women Starting Lineup:

G/F 6'3"   Samuelson
F     6'1"   Collier
F     5'11" Williams
G    5' 8"  Chong
G    6' 0"  Nurse

Bench

G   5'5"   Dangerfield
C   6'5"   Butler

Missouri Mens Basketball Team Lineup (worst team in SEC)

F  6'7"   Barnett
F  6'7"   Puryear
F  6'8"   Woods
G 5'11"  Phillips
G  6'2"   Geist

Bench  (several MO players had significant playing time)

G  6'4"   VanLeer

No doubt Missouri men would never have a chance against the UCON women.

Women's Final coming up at 5 pm on ESPN2. I'm not a fan, but this is 2 SEC schools and MSU had that gigantic win over UCONN in the semis.

MSU looks emotionally spent. USCe up 31-20 in the 2nd quarter.

Yeah that was my big concern for them coming into the game. The UCONN game was so big and overwhelming they may not be able to recover.

They aren't giving up, but they've got an uphill climb, being down by 10 at halftime.
