The 6-foot, 175-pounder out of Tuscumbia (Ala.) Deshler committed to Alabama out of high school but failed to qualify and has since been at Northeast Mississippi Community College waiting for his chance to return to Tuscaloosa.
Belue, who was rated as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2010, finished his senior season with 56 tackles and three interceptions. He also had over 2,000 all-purpose yards on offense where he was a running back and a return specialist. Belue was an all-state performer and selected to compete in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star game.
He expects to graduate in December and enroll at Alabama in January. He will have three years to play two seasons. However, he is hopeful that he can made immediate contributions.
