Gary has always looked for ways to criticize Bama.  I'd love to see an analysis of time spent on air running down Bama vs. that complementing us.  I bet it would be 3-to-1 against.

His criticism of our DB is legit but I don't know if it's because of their athletic ability.  Blown coverage isn't a function of ability, or lack of it.

The guy was a starting QB in the NFL, so he knows something about DB's. If he's comparing them to Dre Kirkpatrick, Javier Arenas, Mark Barron, Clinton-Dix, & Dee Milner, he's probably right. I do think E. Jackson & Fitzpatrick are solid, Humphrey may have a chronic injury, & Tony Brown can't stay out of the Saban doghouse. Can't blame the lack of of a pass rush.

Danielson is one of the best in the business IMO. He knows football. I enjoy his conversations with Finebaum where he discusses the big games. I generally learn something and I normally see something happen in the game that he talked about.

He is not a homer nor should he be. It is funny how every SEC school thinks he favors someone else. Maybe he just calls them as he sees them. I look forward to him getting paired with someone other than Vern.

didn't wake up one day and say "I think I don't like Gary"

when he left the booth and went to the officials to try to make them kick Quinton out of the game ?
well , that did it for me ...

he is not on the bottom of my list yet ...

I get tired of Danielson riding the refs and not letting it go. Not just our games but all games. I know for a fact that the SEC office has talked to him about it. I have no problem with him giving his opinion of a bad call but move on and let it go.

and it's not just in the SEC , the "dynamic duo" get "love" from all over the college football world
I don't listen to F Bomb , maybe if I did I would like Gary better than the Saturday edition I know

I just don't like the HE already knew what was going to happen before it did. That makes me think he is a god or something and he ain't. Just pronounce the names right and advise on the play and move on. RTR!

Out of the many thousands & thousands who've played college football, how many ended up playing in the NFL, mush less being a starter? How many games did you play QB in the NFL since you seem to know so much about DB's and understand defenses so well? Passing for nearly 14,000 yards means he must have faced many NFL DB's, not to mention the defenses of teams like the Cowboys, Steelers, Redskins, etc.

all I'm saying is his NFL background doesn't mean squat to me
when the talk of great/good NFL QB's come up he isn't in the conversation
if I'm wrong and that's not the case he should calling NFL games not college

I'm sure Gary is a great guy and was good enough to play in the NFL
I'm sure he knows way more than myself about NFL DB's
just not sure how that translates to a  65 year old announcer calling a
college football games to a college football fans in 2016
Gary and Vern are supposed to be CBS's "Dynamic Duo" they aren't
Jesus , can they at least get the players names right

Just pronounce the names right and advise on the play and move on

I'm impressed sometimes when GD calls something before it happens, and he's a pretty smart guy. Having said that, he is also a sanctimonious ass. He needs to stick to doing color and keep his opinions out of the broadcast. I too, could have throttled him for going on and on about the Quinton Dial hit on Murray.
