There were some mistakes and still some areas that need to improve, but he should be pretty pleased with the way the team played. Arkansas is a good team, and Bama handled them pretty easily.
It was a little frustrating that the defense gave up so many points and the starters had to play longer than they should have, but we shouldn't be nearly as banged up and tired as Tennessee will be next week.
Yeah, saw where you pointed that out during the game too. Good points.
We've been fortunate this season; fewer injuries than usual thus far. Hope it keeps up.
One thing I noticed yesterday; Tennessee players are soft. They flopped on the field like LSU roaches, especially during the second half. Must have had 7-8 players helped off the field, then they'd reappear a few plays later.
I suspect Tennessee will be physically and emotionally exhausted by Saturday. They've had a wild first six games and had their championship hopes pretty much shot down yesterday.
Meanwhile, Bama has had one wild game and been getting every week. The offense looks like it has really come together with almost everyone healthy now. Hurts kind of quietly had a really good game last night. He was 13/17 for 253 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, which was the result of being hit on the arm as he threw. The O-line was blocking well for the RBs, who took advantage for some big plays.
I'm feeling pretty good about the next two weeks right now.
