Defense...wow they're good

This defense is scary good. They fly to the fb faster than the '09 team, and they arrive in a very bad mood. I have seen a lot of comments about not getting any sacks. One thing everyone needs to remember - the scheme is not set up for sacks but for pressure and containment. The QB is getting pressure at different angles every snap, and that makes making reads difficult. Add in a secondary that is the best in fb right now and it adds up to a lot of 3 and outs for the opposition. Comments?

The pro teams are salivating like Pavlov's dogs over Alabama's defensive players. I wouldn't be surprised to see all of the starters from this years squard play in the NFL in the next few years.

During the game yesterday they said that someone has predicted that at least 10 of them will go to the next level. That is amazing.

As well as the D played, keep in mind that Upshaw was injured early (hip pointer) and thus was less effective than usual.  He returned to play late. 

Bottom line: we'll be even better than we were yesterday.
