Nick Saban didn't come right out and say it after the game, but actions speak louder than words.

AJ McCarron is his No. 1 quarterback.

It's the right decision, and the coaches made it right on time.

McCarron started Saturday and played until the final minute in Alabama's thorough 27-11 victory over Penn State.

That means McCarron played every significant snap.

Yeah, I think he has shown it the last 2 games. Plus, he has an excellent arm.

I honestly think Saban has known all along that AJ was the better QB, but if he announced that then he would have two problems:  1.  Every Bama Fan would get on the Sims bandwagon, and 2.  Sims might transfer.  By allowing Sims his chance, Saban quiets the fans who might question his decisions, and also keeps Sims happy by giving him his chance and showing Sims that he still has work to do.  Saban is a genius!

Plus it got AJ's attention and forced him to settle down and comply with the game plan or risk being beat out.

Sim's is very valuable to this team when you look at the big picture, Bama needs him on this team. AJ was more than a QB yesterday, he was a leader and that is what CNS is looking for. I think Sims can develop as a leader as well but he needs to use some common sense and quit reading the newspapers and listening to other people.

If he will ever have a chance to play at the next level it will happen under CNS, not transfering to another school. It's all about patience.

Yep, both QBs are still works in progress, and we need both of them for now and the future.
