One of my all time favorites.

That Teague play, the Tommy Lewis tackle off the bench, and the Prothro catch are probably the three all-time strangest of Alabama plays.  I was there for the Prothro catch; last Alabama game I saw in person.  Sad

Funny how peoples memories of some of these plays change or evolve over time. For instance, I'll bet very few would remember this was turned around on a penalty. Another example is the goal line stand. It wasn't the end of the game when that series of plays occurred.

Yep. It was an off-side penalty on Bama and I knew it when the play was developing. After GT stripped the ball from him, I was thinking how bitter sweet that was.

It was not a dead ball foul.  They had to take the 5 yard penalty because the play resulted in a turn over.  They could have taken the play if Teague didn't run him down and take the ball away.
