TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Athlon Sports, a highly regarded college football publication, named its preseason All-SEC teams on Tuesday afternoon, placing 14 Alabama football players across its first, second, third and fourth teams.

The 14 members of the Crimson Tide is tops amongst the conference, with LSU coming in second at 12. Alabama has six first-team selections, four second-teamers, three on the third team and one fourth-team choice.

I still don't know why Cam Robinson is being selected as First Team. He was inconsistent & unimpressive many times last year. Plus, he's facing felony charges in Louisiana, so what's going to happen there?

I have to agree on this one. I wonder if it's because he came back and they wanted to be an inspiration to other players. RTR!

I have always understood a 1st and 2nd team, but why on God's blue earth are there 3rd and 4th team selections?
