I always thought Kiff needed to stay at Bama for at least three years to get over all his past messes.  And this article suggests that's happening.

With all the issues in his personal life right now, I hope for his sake he stays at Bama another 2-years at least.  Good for him; good for Bama.

As he says less, we're beginning to know Kiffin more for his coaching ability. His actions thus far at Alabama have been without fault. He's helped the Tide to a 26-3 record, breathing life into what some saw as a stagnant offense. He turned Amari Cooper into a Heisman Trophy finalist one year and Derrick Henry into a Heisman winner the next. Getting Cooper 100-plus balls wasn't altogether surprising, but the fact that Kiffin went all-in with Henry, feeding the beast for 5 yards a pop rather than putting the ball in the air in search of bigger gains, was a mild upset over Kiffin's previous M.O.

The biggest feather in his cap, however, is what he's done with a pair of quarterbacks many had left for dead

I posted a link to the original article the other day in a thread called "The Ongoing Laundering of Kiff."  Maybe mods want to merge.  In any case, here's the link:

Again, with all that's going on in Kiff's personal life right now, I hope he stays at Bama another 2-years.  Maybe by then his head will be cleared.

Could he succeed CNS....maybe, but I think he'd need to re-establish himself as a head coach.  He still has not been able to successfully run/sustain a program.  Still some doubt about CLK being cut out to be a HC.

He has a great offensive mind, no doubt. I'm one of those doubters that he'll ever be able to manage an entire program, much less Bama's. But you can bet that somewhere down the line, he will get another chance, because of his success at Bama.

Well I think CLK can and is getting his ducks in a row coaching wise. He may win another NC at Alabama and if he does his stock is going through the roof. He and CNS have really made a better pair than i first thought would happen. RTR!

Kiffin has a good offensive mind. He is a good play caller. He knows how to utilize his weapons like Cooper and Henry and develop QB's. He is ideally suited to be a major college or NFL offensive coordinator.

I do not know if he will ever made a good head coach or not. He was far too young to become the head coach of the Raiders. Al Davis did not help that situation. He did OK at Tennessee. He went 7-6 (4-4 SEC) and almost beat our undefeated Championship team. He took over USCw that was handcuffed by probation similar to the Mike Shula era at Alabama. Kiffin's smart azz mouth kept him in trouble. I want to think he has learned a lot under Saban not only about coaching but how to handle himself professionally. Saban keeps assistants under should a tight reign that we do not know if Kiffin has matured or not.

If I was a College AD or NFL GM I would want Kiffin on my staff but not as a head coach. He would have to prove himself on someone else's watch, not mine.

I think Lane Kiffen is learning who Lane Kiffen really is. When your mentor is Nick Saban, who is rated the 11th best businessman in the world by Fortune Magazine and who is the best and most successful football coach in America in the last 7 years, it's a little easier to understand you've got the best of the best trying to educate you. Another plus for him is his age.

All Kiffen has to do is keep his mouth shut, stay out of the bars, and do what CNS tells him to do.

Yes and find a decent wife who really believes in what he does as a profession (i.e. Mrs. Saban) and supports him win, lose or draw. He will be much better and laid back I think. As was stated above to learn WHY he has 2 ears and 1 mouth. There is a reason for that. RTR!
