Williams has coached under Saban at Michigan State, LSU and the Miami Dolphins before joining Alabama's staff in 2008.

Even though he won't be on the field coaching, he will be vital to our success in this role as special assistant to the head coach."

Might as well be 'Special Assistance Towards the Alabama Retirement Program'.  He only has to put in two more years.  CNS rewarding loyalty.

Bingo! It will give him 10 years of to qualify but I think he has to be 60 to draw it. He's 57 right now.

I am now looking forward to spring practice to see how Special Teams do. I also look forward to seeing how our offensive line does for the RB's this year. I guess who is going to be the leader on the Line is my big question? RTR!

I understand what your saying MD. I just wonder if the experience this new coach has under CNS would give him a head up on making things line up? RTR!

So many "analysts" & "experts" see Saban as an unfeeling, don't care robot. This shows his true decency & concern for others.
