So what do you folks think about our upcoming recruiting class?  Full disclosure:  I don't pay much attention 'till we get to 3 - 4 days before NSD, which I guess is about now. At my casual attention level, there doesn't seem to be much buzz about this recruiting season.  But maybe I'm missing it.

ESPN has Bama ranked as the #10 class but that could change quickly with a few top commits.

Well one thing is we ain't no where near a full class. Right now I think we have exactly what we want for the position we need to fill. CNS has something up his sleeve. RTR!

All I can tell you is, expect a strong finish.  Cool

So...2...will we have a "Recruit X" this year?  (Didn't that start with Eddie Lacy...)

I'm hearing from a reliable source that we will be getting Davis, Wilson and Juarez for sure, with more than those to come. Those 3 alone are huge. By the end of NSD, we will have the #1 or #2 recruiting class.

Let the recruiting games begin for real...

If we're asking a longtime commit to greyshirt, there must be need to make room for something good.  But you can understand Cole's irritation to get this news so close to NSD.

I think you're right about both!  Rumors are strong that we'll land 2 of the top LBs: Davis and Wilson.
If true, IT'S HUGE NEWS.
If not, then Cole and I will both be pissed!

MONDAY

Several Alabama recruits are supposed to announce today, and at least one tomorrow.

Lots of indecision:
Quote

Nigel Knott, CB, Madison, Miss.

Schools: Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State

Knott could announce his commitment as early as Monday following his Ole Miss official, per the Clarion-Ledger. The four-star visited Alabama the weekend of Jan. 22. A Monday announcement could come at 1:30 p.m.

D'Vaughn Pennamon, RB, Manvel, Texas

Schools: Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M

The four-star recruit visited Alabama on Jan. 22 but has been committed to Ole Miss. He said he would announce his decision in a tweet sometime Monday.

Scott Lashley, OL, West Point, Miss.

Schools: Mississippi State, Alabama, LSU

Alabama OL coach Mario Cristobal has visited the four-star tackle several times and he visited Alabama officially on Jan. 22. He will commit on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Ben Davis, LB, Gordo

Schools: Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame, Georgia, LSU

Davis commits on ESPNU Wednesday at 9 a.m. He's coming off his Auburn official and hosted head coaches from Auburn, Alabama and Notre Dame this week. It would be a shock if the five-star didn't pick the school where his father Wayne starred, but this is recruiting.

Lyndell Wilson, LB, Montgomery

Schools: Alabama, Georgia

Wilson announces Wednesday at 1 p.m. on ESPN2. He eliminated Florida after saying his longtime leader hadn't built a relationship with his mother. Wilson is close with Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, but Alabama is the favorite.

Getting to know one of Alabama's top 5-star recruits Whatever school Lyndell "Mack" Wilson decides to attend will be getting a lot more than just a 5-Star recruit.

Irvin Smith, TE, New Orleans

Schools: Alabama, Texas, Memphis

The former Texas A&M commit visited Alabama on Jan. 22 and hosted Nick Saban days later. He told AL.com he'll announce on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. Alabama should like its chances for the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Smith.

Terrell Hall, DE, Washington, D.C.

Schools: Alabama, Maryland, Ole Miss

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Hall got a visit from Nick Saban prior to his Ole Miss visit over the weekend. He'll commit at 1 p.m. CT on Wednesday. Alabama looks to be the favorite if he doesn't feel pressure to play closer to home.

Joshua Jacobs, RB, Tulsa, Okla.

Schools: Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma

Jacobs took a visit to Alabama after earning a late offer. It's unclear when he will decide, but Alabama could be in good shape.

Ahmmon Richards, WR, West Palm Beach, Fla.

Schools: Alabama, Auburn, Miami

The four-star recruit and one-time Miami commit will make his decision Wednesday morning. While you may not have heard much regarding Alabama lately, he tweeted Sunday about receiving a call from record-setting former Alabama receiver Amari Cooper.

A.J. Brown, WR, Starkville, Miss.

Schools: Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State

The elite four-star Brown had a great visit to Alabama on Jan. 15, but Ole Miss got the last shot at him. He'll announce sometime Wednesday.

Mykel Jones, WR, Patterson, La.

Schools: Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Ole Miss

The first two schools seem like the biggest bets for the four-star, who visited Alabama on Jan. 15. Nick Saban visited Jones last week. It's looking like a Signing Day decision for Jones.

Michail Carter, DL, Jackson, Ga.

Schools: Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Georgia Tech

Carter announces his decision at 8 p.m. on Wednesday following official visits to Georgia and Alabama last week. It's likely that those two are the finalists from the four.

A big defensive lineman from Georgia is making an official visit to Alabama this week.

Jamar King, DL, Ukiah, Calif. (Mendocino College)

Schools: Alabama, Ohio State, UCF

King has been quiet since returning from his Alabama official on Jan. 22, but the Crimson Tide coaches are high on the junior college defensive lineman. It's unsure when he will announce his decision.

Mendocino (Calif.) College defensive lineman Jamar King said Alabama was "like the first school that really started recruiting me," and the Crimson Tide came through with an offer last month.

Mique Juarez, LB, Torrance, Calif.

Schools: UCLA, Alabama, Ole Miss, BYU

Juarez will commit Wednesday afternoon at 4. He had a great visit to Alabama the weekend of Jan. 22, and hosted Nick Saban the next day, but will it be enough to get the five-star away from UCLA?

Four of the top-ranked inside linebackers in this year's recruiting class were in Tuscaloosa for official visits last weekend

Mecole Hardman, ATH, Elberton, Ga.

Schools: Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, others

Hardman announces his decision at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. He never officially visited Alabama, despite saying for all of January that the Crimson Tide were the leaders. Georgia is the favorite.
