I am so tired of hearing how much trouble Ole Miss gave Bama in their game.  Ole Miss had 433 yards of total offense.  You take away the fluke play and the play that should have come back because of lineman down field then they are down to 294 yards.  I know there were 5 turnovers and this gave Ole Miss extra opportunities to gain yardage.  I just not seeing all the domination by Ole Miss people are talking about.  Also with all the turnovers Bama put 503 yards of total offense on the board.

And we still only lost by 6.

Ask the Ole Miss fans what their record is this year & who the SEC Champs are?

What's funny on the Clemson board is that they're all judging Bama by the Ole Miss game.  They all believe Henry is overrated and Coker is a terrible QB who will fold up like a paper doll the first time Clemson gets pressure on him.  They're also certain our defense is average at best and only looked so good in the last half of the season because Bama didn't play a team with an offense.

They're whistling through the graveyard.

Clemson is comparable to Tennessee; lots of talent and speed.  They'll zoom around and spread the field.  They make mistakes on both sides of the ball.  They do not seem to have the players to stop out power running game.

For sure, their QB (Watson) is a talent that will give us problems.  Even the best defense can't shut him down.  He has a quick release, and is very accurate.  We need to ruin his day early.

Can he handles the big stage?  He's never been there.
Can he throw accurately when not allowed to step into the throws?  He's had a clean pocket in every game lately.
Can he take the team on his back if/when we stop their running game?  He's never had to this year.

For Clemson to win, Watson will have to beat us himself, they'll have to eliminate turnovers, take away our power running game, get a few themselves, and beat us in the kicking game.  And they cannot give up easy points, as they've done in many games this year.

Watson may have some success, but we should win.  Enjoy it.

And in some strange way, that brings comfort to me. Galloway stomped Kannell's azz in the bowl predictions. Hope you are sitting down, but Galloway predicted Bama over MSU.

For my 2-cents...in the Okie game, I thought Watson was not all that accurate when throwing while scrambling.  At least in the first half.  We may not be able to sack him but we can affect him.

But as against all teams with mobile QBs, we need to possess the ball.  That's the best way to shut down their O and wear down their D.

We suffered from fluke plays vs. OMiss.  But fluke plays happen and could happen -- to either team -- in the Natty.

The reason the best defense can't shut him down is because he ain't played the BEST DEFENSE yet. RTR!

This coming from a team that played in the ACC.

I have had doubts about Clemson all year. Mainly, b/c they play in the ACC.

Their play against OU removed some of that doubt.

Watson is the real deal.  The kid can play.

Dabo has the entire team believing in themselves.

That being said, Clemson needed 45 points to beat UNC.

UNC had 2 turnovers, Williams had a 30% completion rate, and Hood only ran for 65 yards combining with Williams for 146.

Clemson had 2 players (Watson and Gallman) that combined for 318 yards rushing.

It will be an interesting game.
